US Wheel 66-88501 - 17 x 8 front & rear, 4.5" backspace. Pirelli P7 245/50-17 tires. Fronts just barely rub the rear of the inner fenders at full lock. Front & rear both have ScareBird disc conversions so that may affect the track width a bit. Rear is stock height, front has about a coil & a half cut out.

Hubcaps are '71 Ventura.

US Mags Rambler. 18"x8" front with 255/45, and 18"x9.5" rear with 295/40. Clears everything with stock suspension. Clears 2012 Z51 brakes after grinding off the logo from the front calipers.

Man, that pic makes me regret that I got rid of my Admiralty Blue '74. Nice.

Thanks.

I've owned it for 32 years. In all that time, it was basically stock. It's time to turn up the fun dial a bit My 9 year old son helped me with the brakes, and claimed the car is his now, which makes me happy

66 Catalina with American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels.

Front of the car has 17x8 with 4” backspacing
Rear of car has 17x8 with 5” backspacing

Tires are 235/55-17’s all the way around.

I would have ran a 255/55 in the rear but they didn’t have that tire size in stock. I’d also like to go with a wider tire in the rear but I’d need custom backspacing on the wheels to accommodate the width and I didn’t want to spend that kind of money right now.

I don't typically like 17" aftermarket, modern wheels on these cars but that just flat out works on that car vertigo!

Thanks for the comment.

They're actually 18", but I think with the right tire profile/aspect ratio they work pretty well.

No rubbing issues up front?

Nope...no rubbing. Handles nice with the coilovers, tubular A arms and quick ratio steering box. Not too harsh either.

Still have the original 14" Rally IIs...not sure what to do with them, except keep them with all the other stock components removed for an eventual sale. You can't live forever.

I think the car looks better after the restification with the bigger meat...but I'm sure others would disagree.

Had a new set of shoes built for my '69 Firebird. The Torq Thrust customs were great, but after close to 10 years with them, it was time for a change.

Wheels are BC Forged MEH25's in 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 sizes. 245/40/18 and 275/35/18 Nitto NT555G2 rubber.
