Default Dash paint Red

I thought I had this figured out months ago but I don’t.
I need to paint the bottom half of my dash.

I see regimental red for 67; solar red for 68. There’s bolero red too for Camaro.

The paint store can’t find a formula to use.

Does anyone have a modern formula code for this color?

Regimental Red (Pontiac) or Medium Red (Camaro) for the lower dash. I bought a few spray cans from NPD. Very good match and semi-gloss.

What color is the top of the dash? I'm assuming it's a zero gloss color.

Auto Color Library has the original paint chip charts, which give the names and codes for the exterior and interior colors (top of the dash is zero gloss.) Hopefully your local paint supplier can cross reference to modern paint codes. This is the page for 1968: https://www.autocolorlibrary.com/pag...HorizontalTab3 Here is 1969: https://www.autocolorlibrary.com/pag...HorizontalTab3

NPD C-AP4872 Dark Red (Burgundy)
The more coats you spray, the darker it becomes.
I topped it off with a light coat of flat clear. NPD C-AP13023

I also sprayed the rear window corner moldings and bottom trim the same color.

I just ordered 3 cans so that’s next on the list.

Here is the NPD red recommended. I think it came out nice.
