Default Body mount braces

Anyone use the 70-73 braces that are available on a 74-81? Mine are good on the upper portion. It's just the lower 6 inches or so. I figure if nothing else I might be able to splice in the lower part without changing the more crucial upper area.

Which are you referring to? The cowl/firewall to chassis stiffeners? I'm not following the year breakdown either.

These would be the part I'm referring to.

I've already got a pair ordered and on the way. Just thought I'd see if anyone has had to use these in the past and what the difference is.

I don't think these are Camaro specific. They're advertised different ways depending on site. They look identical in pics compared to what's on the car now. I'm sure there's something different though. I'll have them in my hands Monday and will be able to directly compare them. I'll post that here when I find out. At this point I either have to fab a replacement or splice this in. Neither is ideal. I'm hoping this will be close enough to at least have a good foundation.

I received these braces today. As far as shape and dimensions they appear exactly like the later 74-81 models. At least when compared to the one on my 79. There are some holes missing in the outer edge. On the original these are for the fuel and brake line clip to mount. See pic. There are also some other holes in the new ones not present on mine. These would not hinder function however.
