Default Crossmember length measurements

So in pieces together a 1969 lemans. Frame is from another car (mine was bad) and its getting swapped from a auto to manual. So the problem im having is i picked up what is supposed to be a bolt in style crossmember. The problem im having is it doesn't want to fit. If ive got the two bolts in the passenger side of the crossmember the holes are about a 1/4 off from lining up on the driver side. So ive either got the wrong crossmember or the frame i got is tweaked (really hope thats not the case) so im reach out to anyone that may have the correct crossmember if they could take a measurement betweem the bolt holes from passenger to drivers side so i can figure out which is wrong. Thanks guys!

Is the misalignment on the other side front to back or side to side? Assuming side to side a quarter inch is nothing. Could be the car was jacked up there and tweaked inwards a bit. How does the frame look down the side and along the bottom? Any sign of damage.

If the misalignment is front to back I’d suspect you might have an incorrect transmission mount.

The 1/4 is side to side. The frame as best as i can tell is straight. I dont see any signs of damage but like you said a 1/4 isnt much. Thats why im hoping someone has a correct crossmember laying around to measure because the one i have i cant say for sure is correct as i got it at a swap meet years ago. Bolts to the trans fine and i can push the trans to the driver or passenger side and get both bolts in but then the other side is just shy of the holes lining up

Any sign it has had the ends redone? They tended to rot where the ends went into the insulators and people would weld new ends but didn’t know the original lengths.

Put a come along on the frame side to side and pull it back in place. Those frames with an open C channel tend to get bent pretty easily. I saw a 70s GP get spread so far, one end of the crossmember fell off the frame channel when they pulled it out of a snowbank. You're only talking about 1/8th of an inch on each side. The metal is .125 inch and it won't take much to bring it back in line.

If you don't want to pull the frame you can slot the holes 1/8th with a rat tail file, or a carbide burr.
