Lee steering gear
We just installed the Steering box that we received from Lee. Holy mackeral what a difference. It's pretty firm and takes a bit of getting used to. But the feel and steering response is amazing. I was a little concerned because I called them after we ordered about the turning radius and I didn't really get the answer that I wanted. But there's no issue, I can turn into my driveway on my tight downtown street just like I did before. It was damn expensive by the time it got to me, but no regrets.

I've had nothing but positive results from Lee.
As you say, expensive, but if you're using an original numbers/date matching box, it's well worth it

I sent one off to them about (10?) years ago... right when the original owner was winding down and before the employees bought out and took over. I've never been happy with it; the car suddenly had no return to center (even though I hadn't changed anything else or had an alignment performed). I've since had it aligned with as much caster as they could put in and I've checked and rechecked everything else in the system. I can't see anything else that could be causing it.
BUT... The good news is I called Lee Mfg earlier this year and explained the situation and he said even though it was done under the original owner (and many years ago), they want to stand behind their work and that if I will send the box in they'll check it out to make sure everything is correct. I'm hopeful I'll have the steering I want soon, and I'm very impressed with the customer service at this point.
