Default BAT OO JUDGE

I like the car, but those VIN stampings on the block and trans? I dunno, they don't give me confidence.

Default It has power steering and power brakes NOW.

But they're not shown on the PHS. Maybe added during restoration? Someone added about ten other options.....

And, I agree, the VIN stampings on the engine block and transmission are suspect....font, size and location (?). The Pontiac-plant-built 1970 engines we've seen had a smaller size font.

Things are not quite as they seem.........

Nice looking car and the seller makes clear that options were added. I agree though that those engine and trans VIN's look "interesting". Photos, while plentiful, make it hard to gauge how much metal work was done. Overall an attractive car that looks like it was nicely done and lots of original documentation is a plus. I wonder if it was-is a 3.90 or 4.33 car?

Just noticed the broadcast sheet, XK so a 3.90 axle from the factory. Added options enhance the car in my opinion except for the incorrect mirrors.

I wonder how many RAIII were built with m-21 and XK 3:90, manual steering and brakes . On my Judge the previous owner added the power steering. My PHS options look similar.

I can just imagine the father of the original owner finding out his son just bought this car and seeing the invoice:

"you paid $4,500 for a frigging car painted godawful Orange with no automatic, no AC and no power steering or brakes ?!?"

"this house didn't cost that much! get yourself and that stupid car off my property right now you foolish boy!"

On another note, I don't recall seeing a Judge or RA GTO ordered with a clutch fan option before (other than AC cars of course). It also looks like it has the non AC pulleys, I've seen two 69 non AC cars ordered with a clutch fan and both had AC sized pulleys.

I saw this car in person at Lime Rock on the Sunday car show over the Labor day week end.

This car is really nice. Looked it over and would of liked to take it home. Talked to the person that drove it there. He said it was a really nice car.

Hope it gets what it deserves....100K +

The VIN stamps on the engine and trans are absolutely correct for 70 Pontiac plant.

Very attractive car, very nice resto quality and deep documentation. Still that’s big money. Doubt this car would have pulled over 60% of that number two years ago.

Looked mostly correct to me even had the right T-handle for a 70. Almost makes me wonder what a 4-speed Judge with AC is worth...Naaaah.
