Default HEI connection

OK, got the HEI distributor in. Now to get 12v ignition to it. Appears previous owner replace wiring harness at some point. The + side of the coil had a black/yellow wire and a fabric coated wire. What do I need to do to get the constant 12v with ignition on? 1968 LeMans

I ran the wires that were on the positive side of the coil to the trigger terminal of a relay to supply 12 volts directly from the battery.
