Might put up a picture of your "original" '67 8 bolt wp.
Of note, date codes did not begin til mid '67 production year.
Last, in rebuilding original water pumps for owners, you'd be surprised how many folks have given me decades old replacement casting pumps with cast impellers thinking that the pump was original.

MUSLCAH, while the pump pictured does have a cast impeller, it is an early aftermarket pump housing without the correct raised casting numbers.

When was your '67 built?

My '67 was 14 years old when I purchased it, I don't know if it had the original water pump at that point or not, but I did replace it early on. I found a reference that the correct casting number is 9782482, which is the number on my pump, but it is date-coded B128, indicating February 12, 1968. I'm assuming that so long ago, when you got a replacement pump, wherever I got it at the time, rebuilt Pontiac water pumps were widely sold.
