Default Radio and 8 track player repair and restoration

Hey Poncho enthusiasts, I am repairing and restoring 64-77 Buick Olds Pontiac Delco radios and 8 track players full time now. I just retired after 39 years as an electrical engineer in the semiconductor industry. I know these analog radios very well. I offer 7-10 day turnaround on most repairs with a 10 year warranty on all work performed. I have my own lab here at my house in Scottsdale and over 150 delco AM and AMFM radios if anyone needs a restored radio. I can also add bluetooth to any radio that works well and keeps the original fit and function and electronics of the stock radio. Send me a message and I'll get you in the que for a fast repair. Thanks, Jim

I saw this post and wanted to give a plug for Jim and his work on these original radios as he has helped me several times on the radios and 8-tracks for my current cars. He does extremely nice work and is very good with communicating from the time you ship the parts to him till they are complete. He helped me find a correct '74 AM-FM Red dot radio for my current '74 T/A, rebuilt/restored it and also rebuilt the cars original 8-track and restored a butchered wire harness for there radio/8-track connection to like new condition. Here are a couple of pics for reference on those most recent parts he restored.

Would also like to add Jim did a terrific restoration on my 8-track player. Nothing like cruising in Florida listening to the original Woodstock. Thanks again Regards Paul

I'd like to also add to the rave reviews of Jim Sheppard and his work! He repaired my 65 factory AM/FM radio back to perfect working condition and a very quick turn around too. He understands these old radios and how to restore them. Such a pleasure to deal with, couldn't be more pleased!!

Thanks for all the kind words regarding my services. I've had a few inquiries asking if I still do this type of work and the answer is a resounding yes. Turnaround time is running 7-10 days currently. I can fix almost any radio from the tube era all the way up into the 90s. I can add Bluetooth or Line output converters so these old radios can feed any speaker and work with any amplifier. call or text me at 480-235-1964 Jim

I had Jim repair and tune up both my radio and 8 track player. I had him add Bluetooth as well as an aux port so I could hook up my IPod. He kept me informed of the progress and even provided a video of the radio and 8 track playing. Extremely happy with the outcome.

Jim just fixed my AM radio and added the Bluetooth conversion. Great communication and quick turnaround of the work. If you’re dealing with a non-functioning original radio, Jim is the guy to get it working right. It’s been almost a like a dream listening to my favorite tunes in my favorite car with Bluetooth and Spotify.

X2 on Jim. He set me up same as you, will slow gto. He first contacted me as to what was wrong, described his proposed fix, then sent me a video of the finished product playing loud & clear. Had it done in about a week after he received it. Couldn,t be happier. Jim has my vote, & I highly recommend him.
