Default Electrical Issues - Help Needed

Hello,

'65 GTO. New M&H engine and dash harness. Mad Electrical upgrades in engine bay.

The dash harness is a few months old. Everything has been perfect.

Last night, while driving the battery light on the dash came on. I stopped and noticed the parking brake light didn't come on either. Then they were both intermittent as I tested them.

I expected the car to die, but that didn't happen. It ran and drove fine. 10 minutes later, I lost dash illumination, taillights, turn signals, and the keyed 12v accessory terminals on the fuse block, marked parking brake.

All fuses appear fine. Using the power probe, dash illumination has no power either keyed or permanent. Parking brake keyed 12v worked, then when something is plugged into, it stops working....

I have a flasher unit under the dash, but not one in the fuse block. I didn't notice this until now. I am going to do some research and see if this may be the problem? But why would it work before?

Gremlins with a new harness, I'd check the simple stuff like are the connections at the firewall firmly latched in? My Dad's Chevy II had gremlins one time, the harness connections were not latched in tight. Just something simple to check.

I'll try that. All lights up front work, but no flashing.

Nothing from dash back. I will reset the fuse block on the fire wall and check the connections... Been out there all morning in the heat.

I understand. Changed the oil in Dads GTO this morning. HOT!! Grounds are obviously the other easy to check things that will wreak havoc...
