Exactly what a nice driver ( base T/A) with "most" of its originality in tact is worth.

more realistic at 36 for sure. I wouldn't even pay that.

seats puffy and faded. door panel insert cloth looks weird, is that original? faded also.

equalizer in console etc and the exhaust spiltters are misaligned and wrong.

bullet holes rust in the cowl allowing rust water deep into the core of the car.

black car craze I guess. i'll take a martinique blue with blue or black vinyl interior over the black any day. had a new black 1980, what a nightmare for showing spider scratches just washing it. wash it, looks dirty the next day.

already at top price at 36, buyer fixes the issues and the magic backwards more in it than its worth saga continues. lol

It's a Firebird Trans Am just like my 79 Formula was a Formula Firebird. A regular 'ol Firebird back then was an Esprit.

The TA had T/A on the front fenders and the Formula had the metal Firebird emblems on the front fenders. They looked very tacky on the car, so I took them off mine and it looked more better.

As expected, a bunch of negativity here concerning a very good car. Just remember, a car or any item is worth what someone is willing to pay for it-right, wrong or indifferent...

Bingo. A nice car indeed, sold for what I expected. If it is indeed as original as stated just a bit of preservation is needed. No sense in restoring anything. If thats all the worse it has gotten in 40+ years I am sure it will stay nice enough for the next owners tenure.
