Actually it does but had boxes with info from build sheet like key codes, wheel cover options, colors, etc. Not a whole build sheet, but most of the stuff I needed to check as car was received. If there was a theft, this document tells all. The biggest thefts were the sales dept ! They were like 3 or 4 sheets and at first we used carbon paper, then they went to yellow carbon -less. paper. The dealer copy went right to the GM and into the safe with owners packet and ONE set of keys. Other set went to get labeled by sales manager and to key lock box on wall

Isn’t this the (then-Pontiac General Manager) Jim McDonald car? It wasn’t black originally.

I almost bought a black 1972 455HO Formula that was in California in the mid-1980s. It was an automatic with a/c car, and I seem to remember it being fairly loaded. I was travelling for work at the time and was in the Los Angeles area. The Formula was owned by a fairly young actor at the time. The body was super, but it had some brake and steering issues and there was no way I would trust it to drive cross-country. Plus it was summer and the a/c didn't work.

I only had one day to see about making arrangements to get it to the east coast before leaving LA. I went home without it, but was looking at auto transport companies as soon as I got home. It ended up selling a few days later, so I missed it.

I later talked to somebody on this board that I think owns it. It was a neat car. I think I still have some photos of it from about 1984 - 1986 or so.

More on Jim McDonald's '72 HO Formula brasshat, including a view of the first invoice copy, & typical "barn finds"/ BAT site comments banter.

https://barnfinds.com/1-of-276-1972-...formula-ho455/

Have to look for the VIN & writeup in my records (can't make out the VIN on the invoice copy John put up).

Immediately knew this Bird was a late '72 build, as has the late '72 style Irvin seatbelts.
