Default Re-core

How much would it cost to have an average re-core done for a radiator brought back to original appearance?

Depending on whether you want a 3-core or 4-core, and whether you go with a high performance core with more fins per inch than what the catelogs label as "stock." - but somewhere between $400 - $500 is typical

OMG!

Well I guess I will keep looking for a replacement that looks close rather than spending $500 on this one. I had no idea it would be that much but I guess the labor and expertise does cost.

Thanks for the replies.

Check the Stickie I have in this forum. I had it done to my GTO's original radiator and it was the best thing I did.... cooling and money wise. Made my 3 core into a 4 core but still with 3 rows. To look at it you wouldn't even know unless you count the tubes and notice the amount of extra fins.

I'll give them call and see. Mine is a bone stock little 2 core for the OHC. I wish I would have bought a couple of them when they were going for $150 on Ebay.

Dick Winters will know how to set you up. And if you go that route it'll be worth every penny invested. Good luck. He made a believer out of me, and a few others that's done it. Especially a guy that raced his Dodge with an aluminum radiator and could keep his cool. The SLK core did the trick for him and he loves it too.
