Season 3 Episode 3 'The Family Hour'
It had been painted red with dual white stripes on the hood and Starsky & Hutch style stripes on the side. One scene shows a good view of the hood with the Ram Air scoops (painted white) partially open and the black grilles. Correct Judge spoiler on the back and Keystone Klassic wheels. California blue license plate 757GHS. It was the 'bad guys' driving it, of course. Last edited by Joe's Garage; 11-28-2024 at 12:17 AM. |

First thought that come to mind is the paint scheme is very similar to the often imitated but never duplicated ‘Lamnas ’

Never seen that version of it painted that way.
Wonder if that was done before - or after - Starsky & Hutch Torino came about. |

Starsky & Hutch's first episode - actually a 'Movie of the Week' - aired in April of 1975. So it appears that whoever painted the Judge must have been a Starsky & Hutch paint job fan. Or possibly the same studio 'body shop' painted both cars (?). I'm surprised they could work it in with all the reworking and repainting of the Esprit that Rockford drove......... It seems like he crashes it or damages something almost every other episode. Great entertainment! |

The guy who has owned the Blacktop Judge for a long time , and did the restoration on it , is a PY member.
I don't know if he bought it directly from the studio , or if someone else did. Also don't know for sure what paint scheme it had when the studio sold it. Would be cool if he has pictures of it wearing S&H colors before resto. I can't remember now if he ever posted any pre-resto pics. But I know I have never seen it with the S&H paint scheme before. |

That car was not "THE" TLB car.
https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...d.php?t=556252 But, it may have been the other TLB car.

I agree after re-reading all of it.
The Red Car could be car #2 from TLB. The one that had camera mount framing. TLB #1 was still OO with damaged panels when studio sold it. Red car has the same Keystone wheels so it probably was car #2 with a facelift. Cool Stuff ! Sweet_Muscle (MiA PY member) bought the car from the guy who bought it from studio. He sold it to the PY member in Alaska who restored it. |

Do you know if he still has it ?
It's been quite a while since the last time he came on here regarding the TLB Judge. |

No, he doesn't own it anymore, though it is still in Alaska.
