66 gto ac
Hello. I have a 66 gto with ac. I want to convert to non-ac, I plan on putting in a non-ac dash, and heater control. I will use a non-ac fan shroud. Anything I've forgotten???

You need to figure out what to do with the evaporator. If you leave it in, no problem. If you want to remove that too, you'll need to fabricate a cover for the cowl opening (kick panel) in the interior or you'll have a hurricane blowing in. A non-A/C cowl ventilator valve won't fit.

Just as much work to delete as it is to convert
If you want to make look 100% stock and original |

AC required the over-driven pulley setup with 8" on the bottom and about 7" on the top for additional cooling. Standard was 7" bottom and 8" top for an undriven water pump and fan. AC cars had the deeper radiator support and a 17-1/2" tall radiator compared to 15-1/2" for non AC. Fan on AC cars is 19-1/2" compared to an 18" fan. A lot of work to go through changing out parts just to rob cooling capacity.
