Where in the world does time go? It seems like only a month ago I was ready to get the 50 driving. How did two and a half years go by! I have finally got back on the 50 and actually drove it around the yard yesterday but the water pump is bad so I have to replace it. If nothing gets in my way I will do that tomorrow. I also washed the car for the first time in over 40 years. I took everything out of the interior then rolled the car outside and washed the inside and outside down. Brakes are done and new fuel tank is hooked up. I have to pull the radiator so I can remove the water distribution tube to check it for corrosion. It's like pulling the camshaft and that is why the radiator has to come out. Thankfully I had already removed the grille and front bumper.

Well, the distribution tube was in good shape so I will clean it up and put it back in. I am going to pick up a fan belt tomorrow along with radiator hoses and a thermostat then I can start bolting the motor back together. I flushed the block and radiator so everything should be good to go.

I really like the lines of that '50. Glad you are back at it.

I drove it around the block this morning. First time the car has moved any distance under its own power in over 40 years. Now to work on the floor pans and teach myself to MIG weld! This ought to be fun!

cool. I still get to everything you started doing at the beginning of this thread with my 50 coupe. If you find you won't be using the two-carb intake, let me know.
See ya back on the HAMB
