Default 65 GTO console courtesy light question

I am redoing my interior and after painting and reassembling my console the courtesy light seems to be missing a part. Can someone take a look at this pic and tell me if I’m missing a piece of trim around the lense or if it’s assembled incorrectly? (Sorry but I tried to flip the pic 180 but still loads upsidedown)

Disregard. My error. Mounted housing inside instead of outside console

Mine looks like this. Almost looks like the fat side of the housing is behind the plastic on yours but that's pretty impossible to do unless the plastic has been cut.

Looks more like the whole housing is behind the plastic instead of on the outside.
