Default 64 B body bucket seat adhesive removal

I'm in the process of completley stripping down a pair of 64 GP buckets. There are some good sized sections of jute (?) glued on the back of of the seatbacks in particular. I plan on stripping off this padding, and am looking for suggestions from anyone that's done this regarding how to remove the adhesive, before I start experimenting. The plan is to have these frames/springs powder coated, so I assume leaving the adhesive would probably not be the greatest idea. Thx in advance for any suggestions. RA

3M 08984 General Adhesive Cleaner is pretty good stuff. It comes in a one quart can and should be available at most auto parts stores.
