Finally in paint
Finally After 2 yrs of hard work my 69 is in paint.
Original color was silver but I wanted somthing different with no metallic so it's in Destroyer grey now. I will post up another pic once I unwrap it.

2 years of hard work.....and that will be the first battleship grey GTO I’ve evah seen. Well at least it won’t be hard to match....if need be. Did you bother to clear it ? Or go single stage ?

No clear on this one. I think ss gives a deeper look to the paint and since there isn't a metallic in it I had the option. My first choice was carousel red, I painted my last 69 in that shade but my wife and son talked me into the grey. Its got to be the first I have seen as well, I like it so far.

I love SS for solid colors too. My 67GTO is Monteago Cream....and if I ever do it over...it will be in Single Stage .

I was assuming that it was silver until I read the comments. VERY unusual choice but it looks great in the pics. Looking forward to seeing it in the sunlight.

Looks neat. If anyone complains about your choice, they need to understand that it's YOUR car and you get to decide. Good luck on finishing your project!
This reminds me of the ride I had in Zurich, Switzerland in an Audi RS6 Avant in essentially the same color. The Audi was an ABT tuned beast to 750 HP. Yeah, it was a rocket.

That's a very popular color nowadays. I've spotted five different automakers sporting very similar colors in the last day and a half.. Toyota, Audi, Hyundai, Mopar and Subaru. I think it looks good on this car.

Sure is, I didn't know how it was going to look but I think it actually looks really good! Can't wait until it's all done, doors and fenders will get color Saturday.

I can make it 6 now. Saw a VW SUV not 5 minutes ago in the same color. They probably use the same colors as Audi.
