Default Shaker wiring

What color is the wire coming out of the firewall on a 72 T/A? The pedal switch works, the soleniods work, I just need to find the right wire. Where does it come out? Thanks!

I found the connector mine in the engine harness line that runs on side of intake. Bundled in the black tube.

That looks like the idle solenoid wire.

Hey Mike does the shaker open up when you turn the AC on ? Lol. Just kidding I’m pretty sure that’s the shaker wire. Not sure on a 72 though, I’ve never really dissected one.

Informative, but waaay to much to weed through. I guess it's time to just run my own wire to the shaker.

So, you don't have a engine harness for a 72 TA?

Idle solenoid wires are hot anytime the key is on. Obviously, the shaker wire should only be hot a WOT. Take a test light and look at the connectors.

I do have the harness for a 72 T/A. The problem is that I'm not seeing any wires that aren't being used. I don't want to just start cutting things open to find the wire. That's another reason I was asking what color it is, and where it comes through the firewall.

The wire for the shaker on my '72 TA (factory harness) is black with orange stripe. It's wrapped up into the main harness.
