Default RIP Toby Keith

Just saw this in the news. I am not a country music fan but knew of some of his music.

Very talented man. As far as I'm concerned, his performance at the Waylon Jennings tribute was the top of his game.

The red white and blue song should be a celebrated significant song of our country.

Very talented man, a man of his convictions and another performer like Bob Hope who truly got out there and performed for our military anywhere and everywhere he could get to.

Unhappy

Wife & I try & attend a few prime country concerts a year. Jason Aldean is one of our go to's for long time performers. Last October in OKC, about 2/3 through Jason's set, Toby Keith comes out on stage. Jason & Toby joke around, Jason gives Toby some major props, then Toby takes off with "Should've Been A Cowboy". Entire arena was on their feet, Toby literally brought the house down! As Toby left the stage, Jason, in rare form, emphatically "I've done some cool Sh!t over the years, but that was effing Bad#ss". Not sure many of us would utter that, but it truly was!

Wish could have made one of Toby's 3 concerts in Vegas. To put on over 2 hour long sets, that's dedication to your fans.

On the other side Big Dog!

This was sad news! He was a great entertainer and patriot. I saw him many years ago with Tracy Lawrence as the opening act. One of the best concerts I've been to. RIP

Grew up on R&R in PA but Alabama radio has a decent Country channel for a few hours/day, and TN has a few more. Point is: Western PA country radio continues down South with decent play through, particularly on weekends, as if DJs are involved, and Toby Keith gets in rotation. LIKE

I hate commenting on obituaries but do when the need to praise someone overwhelms me, sometimes I'm drawn to country artists, it's rare but it does happen.

Toby was top notch and probably a blast to be around anytime, his humor is unmistakable, I love this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvyTY_oYR_c

Awesome tune right here, there are many more. RIP Toby.
