I plan on going, but you know how that goes. I also planned on going to the 2016 GTOAA convention, but I wasn't able to do it.

I'm thinking of going. It's really far from home. So I'll probably fly out and just go as a spectator.

Talking Mrs. Spin and I will be there...

We're flying there to meet three of our four sons and their families . Mike will be coming from Lubbock in his GTO, Russ from Tulsa in his TA, and Scott is flying in from Raleigh NC.

We are looking forward to a terrific family reunion @ world class road track and a resort level host facility .

Arrow POCI 2017 Covention booklet...

Impressive schedule of events at a great place for a Convention. Who's planning on attending in addition to us?

Meantime, I've been busy refining the handling, safety, and comfort of our new hobby car; a '65 Buick Custom Sport Wagon. We plan on taking our first road trip to the annual Pontiacs of Central California's event in Clovis CA in early May. Mods include hybrid aftermarket a/c , RediRad for the am radio, front disc brakes, big sway bars, quick turn steering box, Bilstein and RideTech shocks, GW tubular A-arms, Griffin aluminum radiator, Derale electric fans, 100A alternator, TA Performance water pump, and a aftermarket cruise control .

For those attending the POCI convention, looks like there are several choices for racing on Friday night (7/14). Who's up for a little racing?

TMS (1/8 mi track on a pit road) http://www.texasmotorspeedway.com/up...ay-night-drags

Northstar Dragway in Denton (30 mins from hotel - 1/8 mi concrete track) http://www.northstar-dragway.com/index.html

And the granddaddy of them all! I’m all in for the drive to run this track!

Texas Motorplex in Ennis (1.5 hr/75 mi from hotel - 1/4 mi NHRA) http://texasmotorplex.com/shows_page/fast-friday-17/

Let's get a roll call going!

Tuff choices, Mike
Mark me down for the Texas Motorplex experience. The last time your GTO was there was for the 2002 Pontiac Southern Nationals when it was turning low 13s @ 103. There's a rumor that its a little bit faster now .

Let's make sure we can make the drags @ Ennis. I'm also looking forward to driving the T/A on the track at TMS. It's going to be a lot of fun with family & new friends we'll make at the meet in the scoring hot summer in DFW.

My son and I are going to be at POCI again this year. Texas Motor Speedway should be a great venue!

We'll have a 72 Lucy Blue TA.

Cheers,
Tim

I'll beat the Beemer in the corners & short straightaways but it might get me beyond the 1/4 mile.

Tim, I look forward to meeting you & your son along with seeing that sweet Lucy Blue T/A.

Anyone know if they will be running the Friday night drags at the Speedway?

I'm still planning on going. My Sciatica returned yesterday, I just hope it stays manageable.
