68 GTO in Grand Junction CO at $3500 or $5K BIN. Has the original 400 HO YZ code (GTO only) NM engine and the body is in pretty good shape. That engine alone is prolly worth $5K. Won't last long.

Rusted GTO didn’t last long. Engines and trans. alone were worth the asking price.

67 Firebird 326 in NY at BIN $5.8K. Would cost too much to fix the rust IMO, but you'd pay more for one with a better body, so IMO it's priced about where it should be.

72 Grand Prix in NC at $6.8K BIN. Rims have to go, but seller claims it runs great. May be a gem here?

2 69 Firebirds in Ohio at $500 NR. Dumpster fire cars, but I'd love to have that bench seat. Both have docs.

What a tease. Depending on what exactly he has and the condition, that could be a good deal. Of course, I am a sucker for golds.

Any west coast guys get the details??

Imagine seeing that brand new beauty sitting on the dealers lot.
The interior would have sold me right on the spot.

Its gotta lotta loose ends now in all departments.
Might be a tuff sale for the old gal

Seems like the owner is a bit of a flake...raising the price due to the volume of inquiries.

That is the exact car that is responsible for my love of Pontiacs. July 4th 1962 my aunt & uncle drove up to our house in that exact car, top down, fresh from a road trip Kansas City to NJ. A bag of fireworks in the back seat of that tricolor interior. I was a totally awestruck 5-year-old. In 1973, it became my first car. If I had the space, I'd buy it.

There doesn't seem to be a lot wrong with the body. People don't drive convertibles in the snow, so in Denver the body is probably solid. A new interior and an ok paint job and this would be a nice cruiser.

68 Firebird is back at $18K NR due to a non paying bidder.

Black bench data plate would have TR228, so obviously not original to that car.

eBay steering wheels. Here's some examples:

70 GTO wood wheel... same as a 69 Firebird. I'd rather have a nice original wheel than a perfect reproduction. $300 NR
https://www.ebay.com/itm/11510861412...cAAOSwUithbEXo

1969 70 71 72 73 Formula fat wheel. $424 BIN. Put a wings down cap on it and that's about as good as it gets.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/19436874719...oAAOSwYndhQ3r-

69 70 Standard wheel. I have two of these and they both have the ick. The sticky can be fixed by cleaning it all the time, but it's more than I want to do. Look for the chrome ring around the outside rim. These wheels are about $200.

I recently bought the wheel below for $100. It's a 71-72 Lemans Sport steering wheel. It has a thicker grip and the spokes are exactly the same as a 69-70 wood wheel. I have one of these in my 69 convert and it's one I found in the junkyard back in the 80's. Any steering wheel was $10, so I found one that was really nice and it's been with me since. I put a black leather steering wheel cover on it and it's been there for 20 years. These steering wheels have a thick grip area. When you put an inexpensive leather cover on it, it looks like a wood wheel with a padded cover. Just an inexpensive option that may convince someone to lean towards a stock looking steering wheel. They pop up every now and then and the condition of the pad isn't really relevant if it's all there and the spokes look good. The repro horn is about $90 in many colors. This wheel is going to be red for my 69 Firebird convert project. I'll need to find out where to get parts to connect the horn to the wheel, because it's just a cap.

Here's some pics of the steering wheels. This one is in my running 69 350HO convertible. This car is a unicorn because of its original colors. It's triple white now, but was originally Champagne with a green interior and green top. Rumor has it that only 112 350HO convertibles were built. Original engine long gone, I looked for years to find a 69 350HO automatic block and finally gave up. I put in a rebuilt 68 400 out of a Catalina station wagon with #62 worked Ram Air III heads. I don't think I've posted a picture of this car yet. It has the 72 Lemans Sport wheel. I'm going to list this car on eBay after I have the exhaust replaced.

This is my other 69 350HO convertible. It's a 4-speed car with it's original 3:55 posi. The quarter panels are the worst. They couldn't get Firebird panels back in the day, so they used Camaro quarters and it's painfully obvious by the makeshift hole where the Phoenix sits. This one I'll save for retirement to keep me busy. I have a rebuilt 350HO 4-speed WN engine and 4-speed transmission for it. Originally a silver with a black interior and black top car, I'm going to do it in white with a red interior.

Here's the Sports steering wheel with a red leather cover. The cover isn't thick enough. I think I'll have an upholstery shop make me one and sew it on, but for now this works.

Great Story Mark
That interior with any shade of Blue Exterior would be a knock-out.
Would be great if you had another one to replace it.

I was brought home as a newborn infant in my G'moms new 64 Bonneville Vert (burgandy/black/black), in Nov 1963.
It stayed in the family for a while but i never got attached to it.
A super-duper tri-tone leather interior would have made a difference, i think.
