John Gunnell's book shows 3,865 pound shipping weight for '60 Ventura 2DHT.

Don't believe that book weight...that's dry shipping weight anyhow.
FWIW my Ventura on the scales weights 4,126 pounds with me in it. I weighed 180 at the time so...actural weight was 3,946. BUT ....I have removed the back seat & complete heater system, added fiberglass hood, 5 gal.fuel cell,NO power brakes or steering, and added lightweight wheels, and nothing in trunk. Not even a radio in car...
Think you get the picture. I have pulled a lot of weight off and it still not 3,800 pounds!!..Take your car to a moving company and ask them to scale your car. Will most likely do it for a small fee..

4100 LBS!! thats some heavy metal man.

Well Im guessing with my fat ass on board my car is well over 4300 Lbs.

With all that weight Its amazing how well those 4 drum brakes stop me on a dime.
