just for kicks weigh it and compare to a couple of normal 400 ones.
I have quite a few 400 ones here if you want me to weigh them.
Bare spots on the paint job is common,as Im sure they didnt turn the engine over while painting it.

Most ra iv blocks just have the last 4 numbers stamped but there still is a good percentage with all numbers stamped . Probably who was working that day .

Is this the RAIV on CL a few months ago?

Chattanoga, TN area I think, owned by 82 y.o black gent? Nephew sold it for him.
If so he said it had 12K miles on it.

Yes, this is it. Engine is really clean looking inside so I suspect that the mileage is quite low and/or it was well maintained.

The story that goes along with the motor is the best part. The guy picks up a RA4 in the 70s, then hides it under the hood of a wagon until 2008.

Kyle also forgot to mention that the nephew fired it up for him when he got there.

I talked with the seller a few times the day he sold it.

He told me the story. He knew what he had and was getting bids by the time he called me back a second time later that night.
We chatted for a while. Nice guy.

Stuff still out there!

Mine is actually a B129 cast date(hard to read from the grease cover). I've been told a very early RA IV block. I saw another WW block that was all ground off and hand stamped, that was a B109.

That looks very different than the shields with the A-body style exhaust - long branch were different?
