incase there are any scoffers, as presented (sealed brand new) items like this carry a premium.
If these were opened, not only would the collectible value take a HUGE hit, but I would be worried that upon first play through the tape connecting the ends would come apart; That's a buyer-beware thing. This is very cool; It's tough finding these in 8-track format alone, but I cannot ever recall seeing them brand new/sealed.

the foam seems to really depend on the environment where it was stored;
odds re the glue has let go, but what I have observed is that humidity makes the foam disintegrate - while dry climate means to foam will just fall off... I collected 8-tracks while I had the '73 Formula (which retained it's original/working 8-track player), and I had a fair number of tapes stop playing because the ends would come apart. An old friend could actually re-wind and repair these tapes... I never got into figuring that out, but I have a small stash of these which need it.

It’s not difficult to rebuild them. Foam pads are readily available and replacing the tape foil/splice is easy and they’re also available. I have around 100 tapes and many of them had good pads still. Many did not and I replaced them. I’ve never had a tape with a bad pinch roller.
