What is a good vinyl top cleaner?

Conditioner?

I just bought a new (to me) car and I want to clean up the top due to it having the black splotches, not to mention wanting to keep this car for a few years. I've never had a car with a vinyl top and really don't know the best products that will help it survive living outdoors.

Thanks

westleys bleach -white should clean it up.use it with a soft bristle brush.then use a quality vinyl treatment.what i use is distributed by car brite and works well. i can't remember the name and am currently out. stop by a dealer and ask the clean-up person what they use. mike

Prestone Vinyl Interior Cleaner. It comes in a Red can and I think Wal Mart carries it.

I use it on my Z28's white top. Best stuff I have found.

I second the vote for Wesleys bleach white. I've also used Simply Green on my white vinyl top with good results.

Does anybody know if Westlets bleach white would harm a laquer paint job? I would like to try that on my convertable top but don't want to risk harming the paint, laquer doesn't take much abuse.
Thanks, Doug
