Is there any way to adjust doors without pulling the fenders on a second gen F body? I know you can access the one set (In-out) but not the up down forward'back bolts. My shop manual has a special wrench but GM disconitnues it about 15 years ago.

The wrench might still be available through tool suppliers like Mac, or Snap-on.
I'd advise on checking with them
Mine origionally came from NAPA, so they might still be able to order one.

I actually could snake a thin head ratchet in but can't get the hinges to move so I guess the fender comes off. Good news is this 81 TA has ALOT less bolts than the 79 Camaro I just did.

Found the trick! long handle with swivel head Craftsman 3/8" ratchet, and also those new small head ratcheting boxed end wrenches.

Took alot of messing with then had to redo fenders somewhat too, but didn't have to pull them!!!

Even with fenders , doors and hood aligned this car has the driver's wiper hit the hood when it cycles. Any ideas? Dimple the hood bracing?

could you raise the rear of the fenders and the rear of the hood to get enough clearance? [ i realise that'll change what you just did] mike

This hod did look like it had been bent by stuck hinges at one time and repaired. front edge of doors already high and fender lines up with them.

Mighty just have to pull hood of for some clearance dimples!
