What color splatter paint do I need for my 69 goat?
Do I need a primer with splatter? What kind? Self etching?
Does everything inside the trunk area get splattered? (floor, wheel wells, inside of quarters, underside of packing tray, back of seat panel etc.)
I really can't trust going by what there as my ride is victim of some nasty backyard engineering.

i would prime the area before painting it. also seal the spatter paint with clear also. the products that i've used are porous. mike

Cant help on the color. Auto Zone sells some for 3.99 a can takes 4 or 5 cans to do a good job. Dont do the quarters or the seatback.

Same for 1968, 69, 70.*

In my 1965 GTO I have seen different colors for the same year. Depending in factory. Could be the same for other years also.

If you do use the rattle can stuff make sure you seal it well! I didn't on one of my cars back in high school and the first time it got wet I had a nasty mess of gunk! The stuff washes away with just water!

You need to find out if the splatter paint is water based, most of the factory stuff was. You can use Zylotone, I think thats the name of the stuff. it's not water based so dampness and water won't affect it, thats what they use in Pick-Up beds and for boats.

A friend gave me 2 quarts splatter paint from 60s Ponitacs, water based, blue speckles. Don't know what models its for. My 60 FB was originally grey white. If anyone is interested I can post the part numbers later as the stuff is still in the trunk of my car which is 'almost ready' for the last 10 months and which I visit weekly. GRRRRRRRRRRRR.
