Brew, it's tough to tell on yours, but do they have any head markings?

Yes, ship anchor, the letter C but its like there is two or three C's starting with a small one and bigger, bigger, and the main one or most common is the letter P.
I'll try posting some picture here later today once my PC is available due to the files there. |

More bolts
Or, like I posted before. These types. The plain recessed head & the 'C' & circles.

Hey Bub,
Thanks for posting! I've been up dating my kids systems..and have not had time. Your lower two bolts are the ones with the large o.d. washer and different from the rest in markings. Does anyone have the larger washer type with the c,p, or anchor. Wonder if they where produced ? SD73, That white car didnt make reserve and maybe will be re-listed? Notice those gas tank straps ? look like traces of white paint there to me. Also love that exhaust system with original resonators. If there still there that tells me this car is solid car even though it looks to have minor surface rust issues. Great car and wold like to see it in person before someone does a restoration on her. What would that car have brought a year ago? The thought has crossed my mind to put the '73 on the market but I can't seem to bring myself to it. Tough to do considering that the investment appreciation has done a helluva alot better than my 401K plan.

Larry, you mean 301k,201k or even now for some a 101k ?
I feel the same and our reduction in value of these cars is minor in comparison depending how risky one was playing the market. Yes, this car would have brought more last year and I'm thinking ten to twenty percent more. |

Since this is the SD thread I thought I would ask here. What do you guys think a SD oil pump goes for on the open market, I have one I've been thinking about selling. Its been modified slightly, the previous put a set screw into the pick-up tube inlet. I have a SR SD motor but I've read this pump is not really ideal for the SD motors because it pumped to much oil. Thanks for your opinions.

Good question! Im putting together a a SR block with heads, intake, carb, distributor, more or less the basics sd stuff, but the internals like crank, cam, pistons.....can be aftermarket which is more cost effective and maybe even better due to materials used and tighter specs.
Rare items in which you have are a hard call and placing it on ebay might be your only good option due to coverage ? LOL, Brew |

Anyone know what the bracket and pulley is below? Also, I was told that "some" SD Trans Am's with AC had some type of tension pulley located lower on the block underneath the AC compressor. Is that correct and does anyone have a good photo of what that looks like?

That was used in combination with the 80 amp alternator.
The alternator had a different mounting set-up also. I think I may have posted a pic from the Service Manual on this somewhere here.
