Default 68 Aleutian Blue GTO Restoration

Thought I'd share the progress and some pics of restoration of my 68 GTO.

The first pics are from August 2007 when we sent the GTO out to my friend's shop in PA. Again, a special thanks to Anthony (PY member 68addict) for taking the time to lend me a hand and trailer the car out there.

Will post more of the disassembly when I figure out how to resize the pics.

Hi,
I had my original Aleutian Blue 68 GTO Hardtop repainted a couple of years ago.
The shop removed all the chrome sanded the body down to bare metal, fixed some very minor rust spots in the panels in front of the doors, and painted it with the basecoat/clearcoat. I'm really happy with the way it turned out.
My interior is Teal.
Good luck with your restoration.
Mike

There's something about a blue 68/69 GTO...even though mine's factory Solar Red, I love the blue - any and all shades! Nice ride!!!

Question - is there anyway to remove the headlights without removing the entire grill?
