Default PY member 77 trashcan was in a bad auto accident

Keep Jeff (77 trashcan here on PY) in your prayers. If you haven’t noticed, he hasn’t been able to post here lately, and it is because he was in a bad car accident earlier in July. Another car rear ended him at high speeds (60+) while he was at work. He fractured 2 vertebra in his back very badly. I think it was C6 and C4, he is lucky he wasn’t paralyzed from the accident. Quite frankly, he was lucky to survive the accident at all. It’s by God’s grace he is still here, and he is going to need some more grace to recover. He spent a few weeks in the hospital. Hopefully soon he is well enough he can give his own updates and go home soon. But right now he is at a rehab center trying to recover, and is really not able to give updates on his progress..

Jeff has always been very gracious supporting others here in the lobby that are going thru some tuff times. Not to mention his helpful efforts in the other forum sections. He has his own tuff times right now. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I am sure he would appreciate it.

Back injuries can be overcome over time with proper therapy.
Wish him a speedy recovery.

I think the rehab facility he is at is a pretty top notch place. He seems to be in good spirits too.

Surgeon said you will be ok taketherapy. No operation. Therapist used weights pulling on my legs. Worked took about month of therpy.

Prayers sent. I kinda know what he is going through. I had to have two vertebrae in my neck fused after being hit by a distracted driver about 9 years ago.

Hate to hear that. Getting rear ended has become my worst fear while driving, for the last decade.
Praying for healing mercies and comfortable bed rest for Jeff.

Wishing Jeff a full and speedy recovery. I’ve experienced life altering injuries as a passenger in a fatal wreck. You learn to roll with the punches and move forward. Hopefully Jeff can do the same. Get well soon!
