1977 trans am bandit car. Project worth
Ok so I found a 1977 Black Bandit Trans am with small T-tops that is complete with title , but it’s a total rust bucket frame is rusted beyond repair . But it’s all original motor and trans … is it worth buying just for the original motor and trans , rear end , and maybe keeping the cowl tag , vin -with the title ?

Does the engine run? Does the car drive?
Does the owner have a price in mind? Finding the ballpark asking price can be a key in getting the best price. Sounds like a $1000.00 car, tops to me.

Cowl tag is good for hanging in shed, not much else. Don't pay more for an engine and trans just because of what it came out of, or what the seller said it was once. Anyone who calls them Bandit Trans Ams I already have suspicions of without proof.

Depends on condition of parts. I bought a rotted 76 where everything body wise was junk, but all wiring, interior and engine parts went on other cars. Auto or 4 speed? W72 engine or l78? T tops nice shape?
