Default Tenth Anniversary Door Panel Carpet

Hi all,
Just bought my second Tenth Anniversary car. The first Trans Am was also my first car and sold around 2007. Just picked this one up and starting to clean it up. Can't wait to take my kids for a ride.

Despite being Anniversary door panels, I'm not certain that the door panel carpet is correct. As I know the carpet on these cars was the "shag", did the bottom of the door panels use the same carpet?

Door panels are decent, but the carpet needs to be replaced. Can anyone tell me where to get? I'd also like to know where to get the silver piping.

Any suggestions? Will be buying floor carpet as well if someone has the latest on the best buy.

What silver piping? The chrome mylar covered insert? Or the vinyl piping surround which is part of the panel, wrapped and sewn?

The door panels should def. have the shag. If the ones you have are decent they are most likely replacements. You will not be able to find the correct replacement carpet, and if you do please let me know. I have been looking for 5 years now! ACC makes about the best you can come up with the colour is right but the pile is all wrong. If you are replacing I very much would be interested in buying your old carpet. I have a one piece and have been looking for another to try and patch together to make one good one. I am building my car to be AACA judged. I think my pm box is full. Respond here if you are willing to part with the carpet you have and I will get back somehow, or try to figure out how to clear my inbox.

A friend found that carpet at a Cadillac Resto shop, try looking there.

I got that same advice regarding Cadillac carpet. I contacted 4 different Cadillac restoration shops and suppliers. No dice!

Have you contacted SMS?
I found a large roll of camel Lombardy there on their rack.

I did. I have been on a search for years. No luck. The story I have been told that once the mill finished the run the last, that was it. I even heard one person say the mill burned down but that stretched (pardon the pun) it a bit for me. I am sure there is more than one carpet mill. I contacted a couple of reputable cadillac restoration companies that were more than helpful. What I ended up finding was that most of the people pointed me to ACC.
Again, if anyone has luck finding this let us know.

I'm not 100% sure of this but I think a lot of similar materials, such as the carpet, were found in the 78 Corvette silver anniversary edition's interior. Maybe the Corvette guys have a lead on this.

Now that you mentioned it, I remember the nappy carpet in those , those vettes had the same carpet.
Stretch on the carpet it hit me when I was typing
There’s a vet Resto shop here in the D, it’s top shelf, I chat with the owner from time to time. I’ll stop in and see what he has to say, ad thing is in the vette world, no one restores the later ones, they aren’t wort enough.
Talked with 10thanniversarysearch yesterday, he said the new door panels o e with the rite carpet , any youse know him he’s looked for ever part doing his.

Do the 1979 Trim sample cards have the TATA carpet, and if so, has anyone even confirmed if the floor carpet matches the door carpet? A lot of TATA owners out there not responding, the might highly churned out firebird with 2 options.

The door carpet is the same as the floor carpet. It is that thick plush pile. Look at the interior photos here. https://www.carsforsale.com/vehicle/details/90077411

Get me that sample, there’s a few places I can go look for it locally.
