Default LOWER AC BRACKET

I have a 1968 GTO with factory a/c. Putting a 400 stroker in with 1971 #96 heads on. which lower bracket do I need to use for mounting the ac compressor? 1971 bolts to the side of the head, 1968 uses two head bolts to mount bracket. I would have to pull head bolts out of both heads to change the 68 to the 71 heads. would that be a problem? If I used 71 lower bracket, would everything else line up?
Thanks in advance

If your original bracket clears the later heads use it. You know that it will line up the compressor with the pullies and the rest of the brackets will still fit. Just remove your old bracket and bolts set them on the new head and see if they clear everything on the new head.
