Default Thinking of buying 05-06 GTO?

So I'm toying with the idea of buying a '05-06 GTO with manual tranny.
Are they actually decent commuter cars? How many miles is too much for one in decent shape? What should I look for when considering one? How reliable is the driveshaft/rear end setup? How expensive to fix? What is the best way to find one?

I have a 2004 GTO, so its a little different from the 05-06 cars. I bought it last summer to drive from My home in Connecticut to college in Maine. I love the car, It has good power, and is really comfortable to drive in.

On my 6 hour drive two and from college I average 22-24 mile per gallon but I have an auto and the LS1. I haven't had any issues in the 7000 miles I've driven it so I dont know how hard parts are to find.

I hope this Helps
