Default 55 poverty caps and 68 rims

Hello, I have a set off 55 Pontiac wheels with the 3 clips for retaing poverty cap. A nice set of rollers 5x5 off a 68 Bonneville popped up local. Will my 55 poverty caps mount securely to the 68 wheels? Thanks

Don't those clips have to go into a slot in the wheel? The 1968 wheels don't have them as far as I know (they're also 14" but you're probably aware of that.)

The 68 wheels do not have the clips, but they do have the nubs around the raised area near lug nuts. So the 55 poverty cap is required to use the clips only. The small nubs are for later model poverty caps.
