Default Inside trunk lid

It appears to be original paint inside the trunk lid. In second picture you can see where the car was painted and the original paint around the weatherstrip.

It looks a lot more orange than red.

Nice looking Firebird you have there. As far as $ value, I'd say that as a very low production special order color car, it would be worth more as BVZ suggested. Maybe a lot more considering it's rarity.

The DuPont formula # for Carnival Red is 4961 and Carousel Red is 5021 and they have different colors/tints in the formula

Thanks for the paint codes.

I wonder if it is possible to get samples of each color mixed so I can compare them to the color on the car.

It just crossed mind this morning revisiting the thread on this neat car, maybe the color names were some Insider joke among Pontiac's decision makers. Most obvious thing about red versus orange was that Chevy got the name "Hugger Orange" in 69 as a signature of an advertising nickname for Camaro, so why wouldn't Pontiac take the joke farther with the already humorous "Here come the Judge" campaign?

Not quite true. There is detailed info on Chevrolet color percentages in 69.
Champagne is 0.6% of 69 Camaro production, fwiw. http://www.camaros.org/exterior.shtml#ColorPercentages
