I still buy on Ebay however I usually only buy new items from reliable sources. I refuse to sell on there as I lost 1350.00 in a transaction years back when a very expensive item I sold went missing. Needless to say I also don't use pay-pal either. But sometimes you can get a good deal on hard to find parts. Your better off to be a buyer than seller.(IMHO)

Rarely purchase anything on Ebay these days. Don't really miss it.

Where else are you going to buy your NOS radiator cap. eBay reaches the largest audience even those who are easily parted with their money. This was not my sale by the way, I need to start selling NOS radiator caps.
I don’t think EBay is as bad as some people make it out especially to make a buck on 60-80 parts that are getting harder to find. The real problem is shipping with the USPS lately. First class is the cheapest way to send a package weighing less than a pound. I have been getting cost adjustments from them lately saying my package weight was off by .02 ounces and I owe another 2 dollars. Ever since I got the first notice back in November I have purposely been putting more than the package weighs. I have gotten one credit from USPS so far, talk about nickel and dollaring customers to death. Also Ebay changed their global shipping program so you do not even have to check the box that you are selling globally. Ebay now has shipping centers all around the US and item will be shipped there and that is it on your part.

I still buy and sell on eBay. Not a huge fan of the fees but it's still a good venue for buying and selling things that are easy to ship.

For cars, I'm going to try Bring a Trailer. I have a 72 Alfa Romeo GTV that'll be done soon and those are doing quite well on BAT lately.

Me too. I was stationed in Naples, Italy from 2015-2018. Bought it there and brought it back with me.

It's a bare metal nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration. Has a 2L Twin Spark engine with all sorts of go-fast goodies. 4.30 limited slip. Full Alfaholics brakes and suspension. Safety Devices cage. Recaros.

Now it's too nice for me to drive it as it should be driven, and I'm a bit too big for it, too.

I buy on e-bay and found that if I add the item to my watch list many times the seller will offer it to me at a reduced price which opens the door to making a counter offer.

The 64 GTO Nos Grills went for over 2200. Out of my price range. LOL. Still watching for a good deal, so ya I guess I am still a player.
Watching some tools now, inch LB torque wrenches, dial type.

Default Ebay

I don't sell much on Ebay for several reasons. They are ALL about the buyer and could give a chit about the seller for one.

The last time I had an issue with them they were 100 percent wrong and it cost me $35. Nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of a living human being on the phone to discuss the matter and when you do its some gal in India or South Africa who BARELY speaks English with half a dozen kids running around around in the background while she's banging on pots and pans making dinner for them.....no kidding! (I did get hold of a gal in Sweden once who sounded so sexy on the phone I was trying to arrange a flight over there before we ended the conversation!...LOL)

I personally believe they make it difficult so you just STFU and go away. Who's going to waste 2-3 hours of your life trying to get back $35?

Anyhow, they are hitting sellers really hard for fees. Just made a sale yesterday, selling price $49.95, net for buy after fees $42.57. I'm not so good at match but that looks like close to 15 percent....YIKES!.......rant over......

That's too funny. Forgot all about the money for that few seconds. lol

The price gouging on everything is getting out of hand. Crazy times.
