any Bandit Runners out there this year?

I always wanted to, but they're always down south. So that means I get to drive or trailer the car down 1000 miles before ever turning one mile on the actual Bandit Run. Then I get to enjoy another 1000 miles back home. Kinda sucks.
This year is interesting though. I've been seriously contemplating Tennessee as a place I want to move to. I took a short trip to Knoxville last year, and it was very nice. Since the Bandit run is going all through Tennessee, maybe I'll partake. It'll give me a good idea of what areas I like/dislike.

Sounds like a good justification right there...
I live in Canada so it has been a non-sharter for me as well. I did go to the one in Sturgis a while back but that was as far north as they went. Really really nice cars - good thing I left old rusty at home...lol |

YEEEE HAAAW!!!
Nothing like smacking bugs & picking up rock chips in a fresh black TransAm.

That doesn't bother me. Rock chips are a sign someone is driving and enjoying their car.

Looks fine. A lot of those owners must've hated driving those cars through that rain, though lol

Enjoyment can come in many different ways! A good 90% of my enjoyment is in carefully putting them back together. Any driving experience & further enjoyment can be done in a somewhat controlled environment. Anything short of that is nothing but aggravation.

Not always. In 2014 they departed from Carlisle PA. I drove the 'Bandit' Suburban with them to Virginia- had a great time playing tag with the Snowman's 18 wheeler.

I have not re-painted the Suburban, just needed some re-work on bottom edges.

Well, I might actually do it.
From my house to Gallatin TN is about 1150 miles one way. If I go I'm taking my 77 that I just drug out of the woods after a 27 year slumber. I drove it all fall last year working out the small issues. I have faith it'll get me there and back home. If I end up going, I'll start a thread incase anyone wants to follow along.
