I just installed a new BeCool - Spal dual 11" electric fan on my 67 GTO. It now runs cool!
But, about the 4th time I went to start it cranked a few times and now I get no power to any items that are linked to the ignition switch! Did my new fan cause this trouble? (I did not use a relay in hooking up the fan) I have no heater so I put a 30amp fuse in the heater spot on the fuse block and used that spot to hook up the fan. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

IF the fan current is going thru your ignition switch, it is very likely that some part of that circuit, i.e. switch, wires, connections, have deteriorated. You should always use a relay to power those high current loads.
