I must be getting old or something! I guess it comes down to having the street tune perfect first, plus double checking the car over again.

On the dyno our engines get 5min of warm and checks and then let her rip. On the track (our race cars) get 1 easy pass (half throttle or so) then let her rip.

I let er rip tonite...feels really good..no hiccups etc.It really feels like a lot more power..punched it in first gear doing about 5mph and instant smoke thru all the gears until I let off.Down the road a bit I stopped brake revved to about 1500 rpm nd let er loose same thing even with warm tires.
I have the in gear idle at 800 rpm now it still pulls good vacuum..still have some minor tweaking to do but I'm pretty happy. The car really lulls one into thinking it doesn't have has much power as it actually does..but boy does it wake up when you let it breathe.

I hope he realizes that large of gain, but I am going with 2/10. The previous motor was certainly no slouch!
Good luck when you get on the track again! Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

First time out I will take any gain, I would be happy getting in the 10.8's with a 10.6 as a long term goal. Weather permitting we are going Friday night and Saturday afternoon.

Like many I hope it does well. After the track results consider a new thread with results and so the new people won't have to wade thru all the posts how about detailing all the changes made, including specs.
Just my .02 .

Glad the Dutchman axles were a go for you. They seem like real helpful folks and the only ones that would address a longer brake pilot for the discs. My 81 has them on the 3.08s also that will get a SP HR cam 455 this year so I've been watching this deal close.
