IMO ya should just call Jeff Kauffman, he will know what cam and stuff works best with his heads ya know, and I dont see any reason ya can't run close to 11:1 on pump gas on a well tuned engine especially with aluminum heads, one thing th KRE heads have a better chamber design than the old E-heads and there are alot of quick cars running the KRE D-ports, 500hp is easily obtainable with those heads, wish ya best of luck.......

What was the verdict on HP and TQ? I am starting with a 71 400 I am looking to get as close to 500 as well.

Thanks,
Dave
The eagle crank is cast. My combo ended up making 468hp 541tq. I am happy with it. She burns the tires as long as I keep it floored. In case I ever want more, I can port the heads and get a bit more out of it but it's a handful now

I ran it at the dragstrip for fun during the Tulsa Pontiac Nationals last week and ran a 12.4@109mph with 245/45/r17 Falken All Season street tires spinning off the line and just easing into it.

Chad, you did a good job of peddling your car to it's best times @ Tulsa. My other traveling buddies and I are sure there's 11 second times to come w/ sticky tires!!!

The 12.51 run you spun just a tad, the 12.59 run, you spun less, but a tad longer.
