Lug bolt diameter or bolt circle? The bolt circle is 5 x 5, the bolts are the same 1/2"-20 as any other regular Pontiac wheel. According to the information on Fred Teufert's site the knurled part of the bolt is 0.600" but I'm not exactly sure what that dimension means, if it's the outside diameter of the knurled part or what. http://www.teufert.net/pontiac/8lug/8lug.htm

8-lug bolt diameter
I am making a set of custom 3 piece aluminum wheels. This dimension is the only dimension I am unsure of. I have the wheel halves, the aluminum plate, a cnc machinest and eguipment, the engineering drawings. This dimension is all I need to start the machining..

8 lug bolt cirle diameter
Is this dimension exactly 10.25 inches? This has to be exact. Thank you for any help. I do appreciate it. I will post pictures when the wheels are completed.

Why not just have an original wheel digitally scanned?

8 lug circle diameter
Thanks everyone. I will post pictures when they are completed. It is my understanding that digitally scanning is not exact. Close, but not exact. I wish I could find someone who had the factory blueprint dimension. I'm a little nervous about spending big dollars to scrap parts on a trial and error basis. Well, onward and upward. Take care.

Seems like it would be reasonable to figure this out by measuring the bolt circle on a drum. Maybe no real difference. Just a thought.
