Default Longer 66 Catalina rear wheel studs

I currently have the factory spec Dorman 610-092 stud, but am thinking I may need some that are a pinch longer? I put torque thrust wheels on and it doesn't seem like there is much stud sticking out. Also considering I lost some lug nuts while out driving it this weekend. Maybe it's my lack of re-torquing after driving the new wheels , but either way, I have plenty of room to go anoth 1/4" in length or so.

Just curious if others have found longer studs? I checked Dorman's catalog and thought maybe 610-126.1 might work, but the shoulder seems a little different.

I can’t guarantee this will work for you , but I used Dorman 610-080 studs on my ‘66 2+2 with aftermarket Cragar aluminum wheels + rear disk brakes. The rear disks are slightly thicker than the original drum mounting surfaces and of course the aluminum wheel mounting surfaces are thicker as well. The Dorman 610-080 studs are 1.938” long under the head versus 1.313” for the “stock” Dorman 610-092 studs. They have a slightly smaller head and nearly the same knurl diameter (0.625 versus 0.624). I pressed them in with a ball joint press.

Ben,

Thanks for the reply, I'll have to give one of those studs a try and see how it looks. I just have a threaded stud installer, so hopefully I could pull it through. I wouldn't think .001" would make too much of a difference.
