Default Engine Fogging Spray?

Hey Guys,

What are some good engine fogging sprays for e85 or alcohol motors storage?

Thanks, Craig

Foggit works well. Lots of drag racers using it with all types of fuels.

Sea foam or similar brands work great and are cheap priced and easy to find at most any auto or home stroes.

Can I ask a stupid question without completely hijacking this thread? What’s the proper way to apply fogging oil? I’ve heard of pulling plugs and spraying the cylinders but I’ve also heard of spraying down the carb with the engine running. What’s proper?

To fog the entire engine if its in running condition sea foam says to do both, spray down the carb/throttle body with engine running, then after shutting off pull plugs and spray into cylinders then rotate engine a few times to coat cylinder walls. If its not running then spraying in cylinders through plug holes as well as pull a valve cover & spray around valves. Could also just use clean oil in cylinders and rotate engine to spread around... thats how it was done before these fogging sprays were around.

I have fogged my two stroke boat engines for many years. You run it at about 1500 RPMs and fog through the carb or throttle body til it stalls. Thats it!
