Hinge rebuild question

I'm in the middle of rebuilding the hinges on my 68 bird. Already disassembled and primed. Put new bushings in driver's side uppers and did test assembly.

So here's the question. There's a little over a 1/16" of an inch spacing between the hinge halves at the bushing. It that normal, or should it be tighter? I was thinking the two halves should be pretty snug to the bushing.
