Is the image itself also stamped? That's what I was referring to. Like the flags for instance.

Ahh, no those are mainly printed

I'm actually trying to match the raised/embossed letters with the raised emblem, but I may go with a printed one anyways since the only one I can find close to the right size is pretty plain jane

All the cool lookin ones are just too big

OK, picked up a Vibe Hatch emblem and although it's kinda plane jane, it looks to be perfect in size

Still waiting on new plate to arrive

The random ones I have in my parts bin are all too big for what I have planned

Are there any vehicles that came with them in this size?

I may be able to get away with one that's 3", but no bigger

Just bought a set of these for a project on e bay. They’re stickers for Pontiac center caps. They come in red or black. I think they were $11.00 for a set of 5.

My thought......

Will the State Police or the State have problems with these added to a license plate? And yes, some States frown on anything added to a plate except for the registration tag for the expiration date. I'd check to see if it's allowed or not.

Already checked with the lady at the tag agency and she said anything that covers any text or artwork on the plate is considered illegal (this includes plate frames)

She was given a printout with an image showing my intentions with the arrowhead (mainly to get the offset of the characters right) and she said it was acceptable as long as the emblem doesn't look like an actual matching letter.

She went on to say people usually ask her about the legality of PBA/SBA badges stuck on the plates and she tells them the same thing

I've been pulled over in my Road Runner (for other reasons) and the cops actually thought the RR and Coyote stickers on the plate were neat.

That being said, I'm sure there's a d!ckhead cop out there that could press the issue, but I doubt I'll run into him as the majority of the ones I run into are usually very cool.
