1965 WS 389 tripower 4 speed engine short block with 7000 miles on the rebuild from the late 70’s. This engine is bored .030 over, has TRW forged pistons, and was balanced. The parts used to build this engine back in the late 70’s would not have been the Chinese junk you have to deal with today. When this engine was installed, it was only driven 7000 miles from the late 70’s to 2013 when I acquired it. The gentleman that owned this car worked at a machine shop, and then was a vocational automotive teacher that built a drag car with his students. He built this engine as well. This engine was in the 64 GTO I bought and it ran great. I located a correct engine for my car. The heads and valve covers pictured do not go with the engine as the heads are 64 units that are for my car. All of the other parts not on the engine I had to use on my car. I left the heads on for now to keep everything sealed up. The build date is F 4 5. June 4 of 65. 9778789 casting is 389 block. Pick up or you arrange shipping. Engine is in the Indianapolis area. $3500.00 The 65 77 heads I am selling I got from Frank’s Pontiac parts in CA. They were magnafluxed and have no cracks. All of the valves and hardware comes with them. Date code D 7 5 April 7th of 65. $700.00 plus shipping. Would like to keep everything together.
