Default Choke rod adjustment

Can someone tell me the gauge thickness the 67 manual is referring to when adjusting the choke on my Rochester carburetor. The car is a 1967 with the 400 and manual transmission. It's a divorced choke. I understand putting the fast idle cam on the 2nd step and holding the choke closed and bending of the rod until the rod lines up with the hole. Page 6B-55 Fig. 68-117 show a gauge between the choke plate and the carb wall but no size is mentioned. Specs are on page 6B-60 but I'm not sure which one they are referring to. Any help as always is appreciated.
